What an incredible experience it was getting to work on the set of Step Up 4. The actors and principal dancers were all super talented and it was amazing to see the level of commitment they had in making sure each move was right on point. The director was Scott Speer a young and talented director, who made the shots look brilliant. The film is being shot in 3D which quite interesting. They have to make the shots so much fuller in depth and use lots of different angles. Sand shoots at screen and bodies spin and look fabulous. I was a feature in the film and I am usually acting just like myself, self-proclaimed, “Beach bunny that loves to dance.” The experience was a couple of long and hot days filming at Nikki Beach in South beach. The scene I am in is where the two main characters meet for the 1st time, which is quite romantic. Some of the highlights were getting to dance with main actors in large group club scenes, my single shots at the bar (I am distracting the bartender from the main characters,) and also having Producer Adam Shankman (from Rock of Ages) stop by set. Go see it in 2012, don’t forget your 3D glasses, and trust this movie will make you want to go dance!
